CANVAS INSERTION RUBBER
Canvas insertion rubber is a rubber sheet with an encapsulated single ply of fabric reinforcement. It is designed specifically to add stability when mechanical fastening is required, as well as to reduce gasket creep when heavy flange loading is required. When fastened, the ply of fabric reduces tearing. Available in Cotton or Canvas insertion.
Applications
Usually used for pipe flanges or cover gaskets where gas, hot or cold water, diluted solutions, low pressures, and service steam are present.
